Survey: American majority trust NIH, CDC

Most Americans still  information from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the National Institutes of Health, an Axios and Ipsos  found. Fifty-seven percent say they have 鈥渁 fair amount鈥 or 鈥済reat deal of trust鈥 in information from the NIH; 40% do not. Sixty-two percent of respondents trust findings from the CDC, a decrease of 26 percentage points from before the pandemic鈥檚 start. Thirty-six percent of respondents do not trust the CDC鈥檚 information. Eighty-five percent of respondents said they trust health information that their doctors provide; 13% do not. The survey was conducted from Feb. 28 to March 3 and 1,066 adults responded. (The Hill , 3/11/25)
