Study: Nurse leaders benefit from remote work
Nurse managers in a four-day in-person workweek pilot program at Fox Chase Cancer Center in Philadelphia had improved job satisfaction and reduced guilt about taking time away from work, a recent Nursing Economics found. The four-day workweek also with recruitment. Initiated in 2021, Fox Chase required key performance indicators be maintained, and if metrics trended negatively, nurse managers would switch back to a five-day workweek. In addition, nurse leaders needed to be available for emergencies and to respond to email on their at-home days. (Healio , 3/3/25)
