Nurses issue call to action on heart health
In response to the 2020 , 11 nursing leaders forces to identify the roles nurses play in improving hypertension control and cardiovascular health. They published their findings and a this month in Worldviews on Evidence-Based Nursing. The call includes actions nurses can take when caring for individuals, promoting prevention and advocating on behalf of communities. Hypertension, a precursor to heart disease, affects nearly half of all U.S. adults. (HealthLeaders Media , 2/21/22)
