NIH issues funding opportunity for managing pain in rural populations
The National Institutes of Health (NIH) last week a to accelerate the implementation of effective non-opioid interventions for chronic pain management in rural and remote populations. Results from this funding opportunity should inform policy makers, payers, community stakeholders, health care providers and patients in the primary care, emergency department, hospital, home health or dental settings. Investigators are required to partner with one or more rural health care system to plan and implement an intervention.
