Hand-off tool reduces adverse events, study finds
A found using I-PASS, a structured handoff tool, decreased major and minor adverse events and improved communication between providers across provider types and settings. Published in this month鈥檚 Journal of Hospital Medicine, the study included 735 resident physicians and 760 faculty champions from multiple specialties at 32 hospitals.
