An American Hospital Association  explores how Denver Health’s integrated approach to addressing physical and emotional health is increasing access to behavioral health and reducing stigma and mental health disparities. Denver Health’s community health clinics are located in neighborhoods throughout the city and greater Denver region; staff reflect the patient population being served in order to cultivate trust. Patients with behavioral health needs can meet with a behavioral health specialist during their primary care visits. Denver Health also offers a mobile opioid treatment unit that visits two of its clinics and accepts walk-ins for opioid treatment.
