Anne Arundel Medical Center (AAMC), Annapolis, Md., this year’s ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉúPrism Award, which recognizes organizations for advancing diversity and inclusion efforts in the nursing profession and community. AAMC made diversity a core organizational value in 2009 and instituted strategic initiatives and recruiting efforts designed to create a welcoming and inclusive environment for both a diverse community of health care providers and the diverse population they serve. The nursing department initiated AAMC’s work on diversity and inclusion and continues to play a leadership role in the system-wide effort. (Nurse Leader , 9/3/20)
