AHA releases succession planning guide
The American Hospital Association (AHA) and its Physician Alliance this week a to aid hospital and health system leaders in prioritizing and supporting a robust succession planning program for their organization. The guide is based on challenges and opportunities hospital and health system leaders identified. The pandemic鈥檚 challenges likely caused leaders to place less emphasis on succession planning, the guide notes. However, given the talent shortages, turnover and retirements, leaders need to once again prioritize succession planning to plan for the future of leadership. (AHA News , 10/19/22)
