��������Board President Mary Ann Fuchs, DNP, RN, welcomed more than 3,000 attendees to ��������2021, which was held virtually July 13-14. “While we all call different places home, we all answer the same call of nursing leadership,” said Fuchs, DNP, RN, system chief nurse executive of Duke University Health System, Durham, N.C. She urged nurse leaders to “draw from the trauma and heartbreak” of the last 18 months to transform health care for the better. The conference featured presidential historian Doris Kearns Goodwin, who spoke about leading during difficult times and Harvard University professor David Williams, who outlined ways to further health equity. With more than 50 breakout sessions, 50 poster presentations and more than 60 exhibitors and sponsors, the conference offered nurse leaders many opportunities to learn innovative ways to confront the challenges posed by the current health care environment.
