President Donald Trump issued a proclamation declaring May 6 National Nurses Day. In addition to noting the ways in which nurses routinely serve patients, the proclamation highlighted their service in times of national crisis. “Few times has our reliance on nurses been more profoundly evident than during the coronavirus outbreak,” the proclamation stated.
