Transition program for nurse managers improves competency
An article in the December issue of the Journal of Nursing Administration the value of role transition programs for novice nurse managers. ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉúpiloted a transition-to-practice program for nurse managers in 2020. The evidence-based practice project resulted in significant improvement in leadership competencies and was used in the development of an ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉúnurse manager transition-to-practice program, which will be offered in 2021. The program included a foundational curriculum focused on management and leadership paired with peer-to-peer sharing of lived experiences.
