Nurses are making a “monumental difference for patients, families and communities,” wrote Rick Pollack, president and chief executive officer of �������� (AHA), as National Nurses Week 2020 got underway May 6. Pollack saluted, all nurses and called out their dedication and leadership on the front lines of COVID-19, praising them for “bravely confronting an invisible enemy with grace and strength that inspire countless communities.” Citing the World Health Organization’s State of the World’s Nursing 2020 , he stressed the need to commit to investing in nursing education, jobs and leadership.
