Joint Commission issues advisory on preventive care during the pandemic
The Joint Commission  a Quick Safety  this week on the importance of preventive care during the COVID-19 pandemic. Researchers estimate 41% of adults in the United States have avoided medical care during the pandemic because of concerns about contracting COVID-19. The advisory urges health care organizations to proactively encourage patients to seek preventive care and explain the risks of delaying care. (The Joint Commission news , 3/9/21)
