Robyn Begley, DNP, RN, ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉúchief nursing officer and senior vice president of ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú (AHA), this week about the ways health care organizations are incorporating the social determinants of health in care delivery. Her presentation highlighted examples of nurses working within health systems to improve the health of their communities and individual patients by addressing social needs. "Nurses are a key player in that work and have the opportunity to innovate and develop new solutions for the future," Begley told the Future of Nursing 2020-2030 study committee, which was information for a forthcoming report.
