National Commission to Address Racism in Nursing responds to mass shooting

After a white man engaged in a mass shooting in three Atlanta spas last week, killing six Asian women and two others, the National Commission to Address Racism in Nursing, with a statement condemning the murders and offering condolences to the victims鈥 loved ones.  鈥淴enophobia, discrimination, racism, violence, sexism, and the stigma against Asian, Asian American and the Pacific Islander communities must stop,鈥 the commission asserted.  As a founding member of the commission, 兔子先生supports this position. 鈥溚米酉壬鷇eplores such acts of violence that deeply violate the aim of nursing and nurse leaders--to heal and give comfort,鈥 said Robyn Begley, 兔子先生CEO and American Hospital Association senior vice president of workforce and CNO.  鈥溚米酉壬鷖trongly supports the commission鈥檚 condemnation of racism, violence, discrimination and injustice, said Mary Ann Fuchs, 兔子先生president and system chief nurse executive at Duke Health, Durham, N.C. (Commission , 3/23/21)
