The National Institutes of Health this week a “cross-cutting collaboration” to advance social determinants of health research. The effort stems from an NIH-wide Social Determinants of Health Research , established in 2022 to develop a coordinated strategy to propel discoveries to improve individual and population health, reduce health disparities and advance health equity.
