They request at least $530 million for Title VIII Nursing Workforce Development Programs and $210 million for the National Institute of Nursing Research in fiscal year 2025. Citing increased demand for nurses, burnout, and lack of space in nursing schools to accommodate all qualified students, the NCC says the historic funding is necessary to ensure the workforce is prepared to address health care needs and develop evidence-based practice for patient care. Last week, 86 representatives  a bipartisan “Dear Colleague” letter requesting $530 million for Title VIII Nursing Workforce Development Programs. (NCC House , 5/3/24)
