NCC sends FY 2025 funding requests to congressional subcommittees
ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉúand 56 other members of the Nursing Community Coalition the House and Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on Labor, Health and Human Services, Education and Related Agencies to appropriate at least $530 million for Title VIII Nursing Workforce Development Programs and at least $210 million for the National Institute of Nursing Research for Fiscal Year 2025. The amounts requested exceed the president’s fiscal year 2025 of $320 million for Title VIII programming, which is a $20 million increase over FY 2023 and FY 2024 Continuing Resolution levels. The president’s proposed budget for FY 2025 for NINR is $198.3 million, consistent with the prior year. In advocating for increased funding, the NCC cites an aging workforce and population and the need to support front-line providers. (NCC , 4/22/24)
