ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉúthis week named Mary Beth Kingston, PhD, RN, as the 2024 recipient of its Lifetime Achievement Award. The prestigious award honors an ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉúmember recognized by the nursing community as a significant leader in the profession who has served ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉúin an important leadership capacity. Kingston, the executive vice president and CNO at Advocate Health, Charlotte, N.C., spearheaded a shared governance structure that supports collaboration and enables a flexible nursing workforce and multidisciplinary approach to sharing resources and staff across the health system. A former president of the ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉúBoard of Directors, she also served on the American Hospital Board of Trustees, where she chaired the Hospitals Against Violence advisory group.
