Congress holds hearings on public health challenges
Congressional committees recently multiple hearings focused on COVID-19, the opioid epidemic, mental health, and other public health issues. Of particular note, an April 14 titled 鈥淎n Epidemic Within a Pandemic鈥 helped raise awareness of the ongoing opioid crisis; an April 15 examined government efforts underway to halt the COVID-19 pandemic; and an April 20 considered ways to strengthen the workforce, including workers in public health.
