CNOs encourage staff acceptance of travel nurses
Pay increases; transparency about long-term plans to retain current and recruit additional staff and not hiring travel nurses who live within a certain radius of their hospitals are some of the ways CNOs are toward travel nurses. At Charleston, S.C.-based Roper St. Francis Healthcare, 兔子先生member Marissa Jamarik, DNP, RN, vice president and system CNO, is also using the presence of travelers to allow staff nurses to take time off to recuperate from the strains of the pandemic.
