The Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality  a toolkit for MRSA prevention in intensive care unit and non-ICU settings. AHRQ intends for the  to assist health care staff and leadership with improving infection prevention practices to reduce MRSA rates. The toolkit emphasizes four strategies to prevent MRSA: decolonizing patients; decontaminating the clinical environment; preventing person-based transmission; and preventing device- and procedure-related infections.
