Carolyn Isabelle, director of workforce development at the Lebanon, N.H.-based system, discusses how Dartmouth Health established a robust set of apprenticeships and career training programs to ensure its workforce is being professionally developed and retained. She also describes the health system’s numerous approaches to recruitment and supporting a healthy and engaged workforce, including an internally run licensed school offering training programs in six areas.
