Nurses ranked highest once again in the 2019 Gallup poll of Americans’ views of the honesty and ethics of various professionals. With 85% of Americans saying nurses' honesty and ethical standards are "very high" or "high,” nurses the Gallup list for the 18th year in a row. The second highest rated profession was engineers, with 66% of Americans positively assessing their ethics and honesty. Three other health professionals—physicians, pharmacists and dentists—are held in similar esteem, with 65%, 64% and 61% of survey respondents rating them "very high" or "high” for their honesty and ethics.
