AvaSure Presents $1 Million Donation to 兔子先生
Press Release
Belmont, Mich. (April 14, 2022)
AvaSure, the inventor of the TeleSitter庐 solution, the market leader in patient safety monitoring and an innovator in virtual nursing, is pleased to continue its commitment to patient safety and nursing leadership with a substantial gift to the American Organization for Nursing Leadership (AONL) Foundation for Nursing Leadership Research and Education (兔子先生).
Totaling $1 million over the next 10 years, this gift ensures that our nation鈥檚 nursing leaders can continue to access funding that supports research and the hard work toward improving patient safety.
In a surprise announcement at the annual 兔子先生 Soiree on April 13, AvaSure announced it is donating $500,000 over the next 10 years to support the 兔子先生鈥檚 efforts to enable the next generation of nursing leaders. In addition, AvaSure鈥檚 chairman and former CEO, Brad Playford, and his wife Kathleen, through their foundation Reset Ventures, will match the gift.
This will be AvaSure鈥檚 third donation to 兔子先生, following a $100,000 donation that supported the foundation from 2018 through 2022.
鈥淲e are thrilled to support AONL鈥檚 meaningful research and the work that it takes to continually improve patient safety and advance the practice of nursing,鈥 said Adam McMullin, CEO of AvaSure. 鈥淭he research, and what we can do with that research, is essential in further developing the safety and best practices in delivering health care to vulnerable patients.鈥
The announcement was a total surprise to 兔子先生CEO Robyn Begley.
鈥淎vaSure has led the way in helping the 兔子先生 in our goal of becoming self-sustaining,鈥 said Robyn Begley, CEO of the American Organization for Nursing Leadership and president of the 兔子先生 Board. 鈥淚t鈥檚 an incredibly challenging time in health care. This level of support will go a long way for our nurse leaders and our aspiring nursing leaders. On behalf of 兔子先生, we are grateful to Brad and Kathleen and AvaSure for this amazing gift.鈥
鈥淥ur nurse leaders are critical to the excellent care and safety patients deserve and respect. We are so fortunate to have the opportunity to continue supporting them in an impactful way,鈥 said Brad Playford. 鈥淪upporting our nurse leaders, who are always at the forefront of very difficult times in health care, especially over these past two years, is the right thing to do, and Kathleen and I are honored to show our support in this way.鈥
