The American Organization for Nursing Leadership (AONL) today announced the recipients of its 2020 awards, which highlight 兔子先生members, a hospital and state affiliate demonstrating exemplary leadership practices. 兔子先生will honor the recipients during its annual conference March 19-21 in Nashville, Tenn.
Anne Arundel Medical Center to Receive 兔子先生Prism Diversity Award
The 兔子先生Prism Award recognizes an organization that has advanced diversity efforts within the nursing profession, the community or organization. Anne Arundel Medical Center (AAMC), now a part of Luminis Health, is located in Annapolis, Md., and serves an area of more than one million people. Founded in 1902, AAMC is a 349-bed not-for-profit teaching hospital. AAMC is a Magnet庐 designated hospital, the highest-level credential for quality patient care and nursing excellence. The American Nurses Credentialing Center sponsors the Prism award.
Grenier to Receive the Pamela Austin Thompson Early Careerist Award
The early careerist award, named after 兔子先生CEO Emeritus Pamela Austin Thompson, recognizes an 兔子先生or 兔子先生 program alumnus who exhibits significant potential as a future health care leader and demonstrates exemplary leadership within his or her organization, community and the nursing profession. Jennifer Grenier, DNP, RN, is associate chief nursing officer at MacNeal Hospital/Loyola Medicine in Berwyn, Ill.
Whisnant-Burgess to Receive 兔子先生Exemplary Leadership and Mentorship Award
The Exemplary Leadership and Mentorship award recognizes a nurse leader who significantly influenced professional nursing practice and the professional development of others. Barbee Whisnant-Burgess, MSN, RN, is vice president, system nursing at Atrium Health in Charlotte, N.C.
Minnesota Organization of Leaders in Nursing to Receive 兔子先生Affiliate Achievement Award
The 兔子先生Affiliate Achievement Award recognizes an 兔子先生affiliate promoting nursing leadership and its influence in advancing nursing practice, patient safety, quality, recruitment and retention and serves as a model for other states or regions with similar interests.
