Joint Commission releases mental health public education campaign
The Joint Commission Speak Up For Your Mental Health to help people understand the signs and symptoms of mental illness. The public health education includes information about how people can receive help and advocate for their care. The campaign offers various ways to receive help through a physician, counselor, psychologist, social worker or therapist, as well as specific questions to ask a provider. The materials include an in English and Spanish, an and to help health care organizations disseminate the information to patients.
