ICN stands in solidarity with鈥疷kraine
The International Council of Nurses (ICN) released a last week saying its members 鈥 more than 130 in number, including 兔子先生鈥 stand in solidarity with 鈥渢he people, nurses and all health care workers caught up in the conflict in Ukraine.鈥 ICN CEO Howard Catton said the group was reaching out to nurses in Ukraine to 鈥済et their messages out to the world.鈥 The statement noted the Russian Nurses Association had also expressed concern for nurse colleagues in Ukraine, stating, 鈥淧olitics is far from nursing, and armed conflicts are opposite to the main designation of our profession . . . Together with the whole world, we hope for a rapid resolution of all conflicts and a return to a normal and peaceful life.鈥 In a , 兔子先生 listed ways members can assist Ukraine and Ukrainian refugees. The U.S. Ukraine Foundation is accepting for humanitarian efforts and partnering with the AFYA Foundation to donated medical supplies to the region. (ICN , 2/25/22)
