ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉúCEO Robyn Begley, DNP, RN, will retire at the end of the year. Begley, who also serves as senior vice president and CNO of ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú, refocused AONL’s mission on nursing leadership development and excellence, growing membership from 9,000 to 12,000 members during her seven-year tenure. She played an instrumental role during the COVID-19 pandemic to support nurses and hospitals. In addition, Begley has overseen the AHA’s and AONL’s pivotal work on workforce advanced through initiatives on quality and patient safety, and future care delivery models. She has promoted diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging in nursing leadership and within AONL. A search for Begley’s successor will begin in June. (AONL news release, 5/23/24)
