NCC backs amendment to recognize nurses who served in WWII

The Nursing Community Coalition (NCC), to which 兔子先生belongs, sent a to the chairs of the House of Representatives Rules Committee in support of an amendment to the National Defense Authorization . Amendment #257, introduced by Rep. Cheri Bustos, D-Ill., would recognize and honor the service of individuals who served in the United States Cadet Nurse Corps during World War II. 鈥淔rom 1943 to 1948, nearly 120,000 nurses answered our nation鈥檚 call and honorably served to care for our servicemen and women during World War II,鈥 the letter states. 鈥淎s the average age of these nurses increases, it is imperative that this amendment moves forward to recognize their invaluable service.鈥  (NCC , 7/8/19)
