NAM meeting explores nursing鈥檚 future in the digital age

Tech sector and nursing leaders the theme High Tech to High Touch during the last of three regional meetings designed to inform a National Academy of Medicine (NAM) on The Future of Nursing 2020-2030. In addition to describing nursing models incorporating digital technologies, panelists and audience members focused considerable attention on the question of whether high-tech health care would advance the health of all Americans or create new barriers to accessing care for large segments of the population. Panelists calls made during two earlier meetings for more preventive interventions and better data collection to capture nursing鈥檚 roles and the effectiveness of various care models.
