HHS will accept nominations to Quality Summit during July
Pursuant to President Trump鈥檚 executive order directing federal agencies to develop a Health Quality Roadmap, the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has formed a , which will bring together industry stakeholders and government leaders to evaluate the quality of HHS-administered programs. HHS Deputy Secretary Eric Hargan and quality and safety expert Peter Pronovost, PhD, MD, will the Summit. The department will accept nominations for additional participants through July 31. The department says the ultimate goal of the initiative is to streamline HHS programs 鈥渢o deliver a value-based care model focused on improving outcomes for American patients.鈥 (HHS , 7/9/19)
