AMA takes stands on human trafficking, vaccination
During its annual meeting earlier this week in Chicago, the American Medical Association (AMA) House of Delegates adopted several new policies. The association committed itself to to end violence against transgender people, combat human trafficking and support the ability of mature minors to consent to vaccination. The AMA also adopted policies aimed at diversity of the physician workforce, the spread of vector-borne diseases and the health and social needs of people experiencing homelessness. (AMA , 6/13/19)
