Focusing on just six things can help leaders “hardwire a culture of safety, build teamwork and reduce harm.” That’s the premise behind a team training to be hosted Aug. 14, 1-2 p.m. ET by �������� (AHA). The training will focus on the top six components of redesigning hospital systems to become high reliability organizations. Phyllis Toor, BSN, program manager of the influential program, will be among the presenters. TeamSTEPPS was developed by the U.S. Army to improve communication and teamwork skills among health care professionals, and has been widely adopted in civilian settings.
